HiSET® & GED® Testing
We now offer GED testing in addition to HiSET testing for individuals seeking to earn their high school equivalency. Completing either test demonstrates the attainment of skills typically acquired through completion of a high school program.
Who Can Test:
Montana residents who are 16 years or older and not enrolled in high school are eligible to take the HiSET or GED.
- 16-year-olds must obtain a waiver form. Call 406-549-8765 for the waiver and additional information.
- 17–18-year-olds must provide a High School Withdrawal Letter or a Homeschool Letter.
- Withdrawal Letters must:
-
-
- Be original and signed by a principal or vice principal
- Be on official school letterhead
- Include the student’s name, date of birth, ID number, and withdrawal date
- Include permission to take a High School Equivalency exam
-
Once you have the required documentation, bring your withdrawal letter and either your PSI ID or GED number (from your HiSET or GED online account) to The Lifelong Learning Center. We will then unblock your account so you can schedule your test
