HiSet Testing

Completing the High School Equivalency Test demonstrates the attainment of skills normally acquired through completion of a high school program. The HiSET computerized test is available to adults who have not received a high school diploma, are not attending high school, are at least 16 years of age, and are Montana residents. Do NOT bring any electronic devices into the testing center.

On the day of your scheduled test bring to The Lifelong Learning Center:
1. State or Government issued picture ID
2. Testing Center Fee of $5 per scheduled ($25 if taking all 5 tests)
3. Prior approval is required if you are 16-19 years old. Call 549-8765 before scheduling.

Find out if you are ready to take the HiSET

Think you are ready for the HiSET but want to make sure? Missoula ABE offers the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) to assess your basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. You may take the TABE test to assess your educational needs and to determine if you are ready to take the HiSET.  Students enrolling in Adult Basic Education classes can take the TABE for free.
