English as a Second Language and EL Civics
English as a Second Language or ESL
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are classes offered to help adult, non-native speakers of English to communicate and increase their understanding of American culture. Communication skills such as speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar are taught using real life situations.
EL Civics Classes
EL Civics classes provide an opportunity to increase your English skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in order to understand and effectively participate in government, education, and workplace systems and key American institutions such as banking and health care. EL Civics also provides classes in US citizenship preparation.
ESL and EL Civics classes are FREE of charge. You can start at any time. Weekly orientation and enrollment sessions are available for new students by appointment. Please call 406-549-8765 to schedule.
Intake paperwork must be completed and returned to the Lifelong Learning Center Prior to attending ESL Orientation.
